8:00 - Noon- Visit Rescue Groups
We'll have many Rescue Groups on the meadow waiting to meet you and tell you about their specific breeds.
8:30 a.m.
The 5K Run Starts
9:30 a.m.- Adoption Dog Parade
This is the most heartfelt moment of the day and begins around 9:30 a.m. on the stage.
10 a.m.-
Alumni Parade and Walk Start
If you have adopted your dog from NHS this is your time to shine! This parade will kick off the actual Walk for the Animals!
Parking & Shuttle Information
Shuttle buses will be running from the parking lot located north of the Shelter next to the Baker's on 90th and Fort. PLEASE DON'T PARK in the BAKER'S parking lot...they might growl! Please park in the parking lot to the north of Baker’s, take the bus and ride over to the Shelter! (And yes, you can take your dog on the bus with you.) The shuttle buses will run from 8:00 - 11:30 with the LAST BUS LEAVING from the shelter parking lot at 11:30. Take this time on the bus to visit with all the people that going to go on the WALK with you! Dogs are welcome on the shuttles!Valet parking is a available for a $20 donation (and if you’re a Club 500 Member it’s complimentary) on the NORTH side of Fort Street right across from Bone Jour Dog Daycare

There's still time to raise money for the animals! Have you tried sharing your personal fundraising page on Facebook and had issues. In order to share you personal fundraising page on Facebook we recommend finding your personal page and then copying and pasting the page URL in a Facebook Status update. That will ensure people are taken directly to your page.
Why Walk Or Run For the Animals
Your participation in the Walk/5k For The Animals helps care for more than 10,000 homeless animals each year. Funds raised at the Walk allow NHS to provide medical care and support to sick and injured animals. Please join us September 27th to celebrate the pets in your life and to help homeless animals still waiting for their forever homes!
